Swim School Livermore
All-Star Swim School in the Bay Area is the swim school Livermore residents trust to teach proper CPR, swimming techniques, water safety and other skills to their children. At All-Star Swim School, located at 5800 Camino Tassajara in Danville, our philosophy is this: every learned swim skill is a stepping-stone to the next skill, until every child is the best swimmer he/she can be. We want Livermore children to receive more than just swim lessons; we want them to feel ultimately comfortable in the water, and to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of water safety.
To us, safety in the water is of utmost importance. Because the first interaction with water may be with an All-Star Swim School instructor, we are highly aware of the importance of a positive environment conducive to the development of children’s swimming skills, as well as children’s self-confidence. Overcoming fear of water can help a child tackle future difficult life challenges with ease and resolve. Your child’s swim lesson experience will help build a strong foundation for their future education and life lessons. The procedure of building self-confidence and trust are essential to children who are learning how to swim and how to love it.
At All-Star Swim School, we recognize that each child is unique. We address these unique differences by modifying our program and techniques to fit the needs of every child. We work with each child and their parents to set specific goals to ensure they come away from their swim lessons with a feeling of achievement and a love of swimming.
Since 1998 All-Star has been teaching children to swim safe, gain an all-inclusive understanding of the core basics of children swim development, such as perfect stroke techniques, floating, avoiding panic, baby swimming, toddler swimming lessons and other important swimming skills.
We have designed our program with four key stages of swim development: water safety; learning to swim; stroke development, and technical stroke refinement. Included below are the key elements that will be taught at each stage. However, each of these stages will be tailored to your child’s needs. We will discuss your swimmers current ability, desired outcome for lessons, and, depending on their swim ability, will do an individual assessment in the pool. Taking what we learned from our initial conversation and our in-pool assessment, we will design a program appropriately tailored to your child to ensure your child has a positive swim experience.
Here’s some of what your child will learn:
• Learning to enter and exit the pool safely
• Breathing control
• Floating on their backs
• Proper arm strokes and leg kicking
• Development of correct head and body orientation
• Relaxation and buoyancy concepts
• Assisted horizontal swimming
• Beginning front crawl
• Sliding along wall
• Swimming to wall
