Brian Oas
All-Star Academy’s Founder and Program Director

Brian has a passion for swimming! He began private swim lessons as a toddler and by four years old, he was swimming competitively on a local team. While growing up, Brian tried his hand at several sports, but his true calling was always at the pool.

As a teenager, Brian began teaching swim lessons to neighborhood kids. Here he realized his love of teaching. He continued to develop his teaching and swimming skills by working at local swim schools throughout high school and college.

In 1998, Brian opened Brian’s Swim School. Here he began to develop his own approach to swim instruction that focuses first on having fun in the water. In a non-forceful environment, the kids begin to feel comfortable and safe. At ease and having fun, the kids naturally begin to participate and gain confidence in their abilities. Now a comprehensive program, Brian applies this successful approach at All-Star Academy.

Now in his own facility, Brian has been able to tailor his program further by designing the pool to his own specifications. In addition, Brian recently completed the Infant Swimming Resource program. This commitment to expanding his own skills and creating an optimal learning environment, has All-Star Academy’s students swimming like fish and feeling like stars.

Suit up and discover a love of water and swimming with Brian and his team at All-Star Academy.

Jennifer Sharp
Co-Founder and Swim Instructor

Jennifer’s love of kids and teaching began growing up in Montana. With a large extended family, she was trusted to watch the other children at an early age. By 10 years old, teachers recognized Jennifer’s sense of responsibility and asked her to watch their children. From that point on, Jennifer has developed her love of kids into a lifetime of experience.

While in college, Jennifer worked as a Nanny for two children in Danville during the summer. She returned to Danville to work for the same family every summer throughout college. Upon earning her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana, Jennifer moved to Danville to begin her career.

She began working at The Growing Room at Neil Armstrong Elementary. She continued there until she was hired by the San Ramon Valley School District at Golden View Elementary. There she taught kindergarten and second grade.

Throughout this time, she has worked with Brian to gain the training and skills she needs to teach swimming. Integrated with the program philosophy and expanding her education through the Infant Swim Resource, Jennifer’s skill with the children is an asset to the program.

Although she will miss working in the public school setting, Jennifer looks forward to enriching kids through the All-Star Academy. With enthusiasm and care, she’ll help every child become a Star!
